Congratulations to CAB student Emma Kooyman: she has been accepted into the Summer Dance Lab at Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA, the advanced level at Portland Festival Ballet Summer Intensive, as well as the John Magnus Summer Ballet Intensive in Portland, OR! Emma is a Ballet V student at CAB.

Lucas is Ballet VI student at CAB, as well as a dancer with Willamette Apprentice Ballet, and Liam is a Ballet V student at CAB.

Congratulations and a big thank you to all the CAB students for very beautiful, successful recital performances this past weekend! I thought that every dancer at CAB- from the smallest “Leprachaun” to the upper-level soloists, all performed extremely well. Thank you Irina, Jessica, and Matthew, for doing such a good job preparing the students for the performances. Thank you also to all the parent volunteers who helped with kid wrangling, the fundraiser bake sale (we raised over $400!), ticket distribution and sales, clean-up, etc. You all helped contribute to what I regard as one of the most polished, professional, and smoothly-run CAB recitals EVER. I’m very proud of all of you.
Remember that we still offer classes through Saturday, June 2nd (yes, we have classes on Memorial Day), and don’t forget to sign up for summer session by June 16th! ~Megan Skinner

Congratulations to Eleanor Adams, a Level VI student at CAB and a member of the Willamette Apprentice Ballet, who has been accepted into the American Ballet Theatre Orange County Summer Intensive 2012! Ele will have the opportunity to study with many of the same faculty members who regularly teach at the Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis School of American Ballet Theatre in NYC. Way to go, Ele!
