Classes on Friday, September 18th, 2020

We  will be holding all of our Friday classes as usual in the studio this afternoon and evening. The smoky smell in the studio is gone, and we will continue to keep the doors closed and the blowers off, with portable fans running, you help keep the clean, indoor air circulating.

If any of our Friday students are nervous or uncomfortable coming to the studio for class today, they can take class at home via Zoom. Please contact Kristin Jones, Mimi Chen, or Megan Skinner if you need a Zoom invitation for any of today’s classes.

Thank you- please stay indoors and be safe!

Masks required for in-person students, ages 5 & up

UPDATED 7/24/2020:

Effective today, Friday, July 24th, wearing a mask indoors will be required in all public spaces, including businesses such as Corvallis Academy of Ballet. Prior to the order that was issued on Wednesday, July 22nd, by Governor Kate Brown, masks were only required to be worn by Corvallis Academy of Ballet students, teachers and teaching assistants, ages 12 & up; now all in-person students, ages 5 and up, will be required to wear a mask anytime they are in our building: before, during, and after classes and rehearsals.

Students who have a documented medical condition that makes them exempt from having to wear a mask indoors need to notify their teacher(s) before coming to the studio without a mask on.

We still have some youth and adult size cloth masks with ties available for purchase at the studio: $5.00/each, cash, check, or Venmo payable to Corvallis Academy of Ballet: @MeganLSkinnerLLC-27

All of our Fall 2020 classes may be taken via Zoom, for any students who are not able to, or do not want to, wear a mask during in-person classes.

Thank you for your support and cooperation in keeping our staff and students safely dancing during the 2020/2021 academic year.

ALL performing students and audience members who are ages 5 & up will be required to wear a mask during these In-Studio Recitals. Students must do their hair and makeup at home, and most of the students will need to put their costume on at home and arrive at the studio already dressed in their costume. Students in Ballet V, Ballet VI, Modern Dance Level II, and Int/Adv Character Dance will be allowed to change into and out of their costumes at studio, as the costumes that they will be wearing are too fragile and too valuable to be taken out of the studio by students.

Please be sure to return your Recital RSVP and Photo/Video Waiver Form to Megan Skinner by Saturday, July 25th. Drop your paper copy through the front door mail slot at the studio, or email a picture or scan of your completed form to
