The newest addition to this photo gallery are pictures of the Historical Dance Class and the Intermediate/Advanced Character Dance Class performing in the December 2012 Willamette Apprentice Ballet Holiday Concert. The Historical Dance Class is performing the “New Year Polka,” music by Johann Strauss and choreography by Megan Skinner, and the Character Dance Class is performing “Party Dances,” which utilizes the Act I Party Scene music from Peter Tchaikovsky’s Ballet The Nutcracker. Photos from the 2012 Holiday Concert were taken by Charles C. Prince Photography.

The next group of photos show the Character Dance Class performing a “Tarantella,” choreography by Megan Skinner, as part of Willamette Apprentice Ballet Presents “The Shoestring Concert: Holiday Edition, 2007.”

The second group of photos are also from the WAB 2007 Holiday Concert. The Character Dance Class is performing the “Children’s Polonaise” from the ballet Paquita; staged by Megan Skinner, after Marius Petipa. The photographer for these two groups of photos is Tracey Cox.

The third group of photos were taken at a Spring 2008 concert at the LaSells Stewart Center. The dancers are the Character Dance Class from the Corvallis Academy of Ballet, performing to the “Russian Sailor’s Dance” from Gliere’s ballet, The Red Poppy. They are costumed as “Lady Pirates.” This was a collaborative concert between the Corvallis Community Band, Corvallis Academy of Ballet, and Willamette Apprentice Ballet. Enjoy the photos!
