A sad time for Corvallis Academy of Ballet: Miss Katie has to leave us to pursue a different career path. I will miss her very much, as I am sure all of her students and parents will; she is such a lovely person and such a talented, kind, and patient ballet teacher- she worked magic with our young students! Miss Katie is very challenged by and excited by her new job, and I am sure that you will all join me in wishing her the best of luck in all of her future endeavors. Dear Students and Parents of the Corvallis Academy of Ballet,

I am both excited and sad to tell you all that as of this month I am going to be working a full-time office position at Fitzpatrick Painting and Construction in Albany. Due to the amount of hours I am going to be working, as well as my weekday schedule, I will unfortunately be unable to continue teaching at Corvallis Academy of Ballet. I deeply apologize for telling you all with such short notice and will miss each and every one of you.

To my students:

You have been a beautiful part of my life and I am so grateful to you all for working hard, listening to instructions, and making my days at CAB brighter and happier year after year. It has been an absolute joy to watch you all grow as people and as dancers throughout the past five years. I hope you will continue in your dancing pursuits and can’t wait to watch you all at the yearly recitals!

To their parents:

Thank you for bringing students early, for dealing with downtown parking, and for tying shoes. Thank you for encouraging shy dancers, and for nurturing your children’s love of dance. Your support is essential to them as they learn and grow, and I know so many of you go above and beyond the call of duty by working with your dancers at home, and coming to recitals and parent observation days. Thank you for all that you do!

If any students are interested in saying goodbye as well as meeting your new teachers, I will be at the CAB Open House and Registration Day on Saturday September 9th from 9am-2pm. I hope to see you there!
